My digital self is displayed through this image because one of my favorite things to do is watch the sunset from different parts of campus. I've found that the top floor of the Student Union has some of the best views which always reminds me why I chose to attend SDSU. While taking this photo, I wanted the depth of field to be deep because I believe both the tower and the sky were important elements to capture (Photography Lecture). That is also why I edited the exposure of the image on Adobe Photoshop so I could emphasize the way each color juxtaposes the other. However, I also wanted to focus on the building dominating everything below it so using the rule of thirds, I moved the tower to the left of the grid (Chapter 8, Multimedia Foundations). Overall, I wanted my digital photo to highlight the beauty of San Diego and this campus in general; I believe the night that is pictured does just that.
